Add random to the sort order options for displaying blog feeds

Would it be possible to add random to the sort order options for blog feeds?

Use case - to create content clusters. I would add a blog feed with only articles from the same category at the bottom of the article layout for that category. Then at the bottom of each article, there will be random links to other related articles. The random part makes sure all articles get some exposure and link juice and at the same time it makes the content look more dynamic in the eyes of search engines. Both important for SEO.

Doing that, you can also drop a blogfeed with a single article in the middle of other articles and have those randomized and still be sure you display something related. Gold!!

It's interesting. Let's vote!

Can I add a feature to this idea?  Could you exclude the current blog that the reader is reading from the blog feed?  For example, my similar articles feed that shows posts from the same category displays the current blog post as a similar article.  Since the user is already reading that article, can it not be displayed?

This hould be a relatively easy thing to implement :D
