Menu module lacks regular button interactions (not able to create Mega Menu)
Hello,
In "Menu" module, menu buttons lack the available features of regular buttons. I am referring to click action (link), such as interactions (show or hide objects, toggle elements visibility) etc. This is an existing feature on buttons, but surprisingly non-existent in menu buttons.

Mega menu out of the box would be nice
This is not a bug. In fact, the buttons in the menu work a little differently than normal buttons. As we update the menu, we will certainly take into account what you write about. What I can recommend at the moment is to use the current buttons for what you want to achieve.
